SERVICE AGREEMENT & CLIENT RESPONSIBILITIES

The utmost care will be given to caring for your pet(s) and your home. However, due to the extreme unpredictability of animals, Kittytropolis Cat Sitting Specialists LLC cannot accept responsibility for any mishaps of an extraordinary or unusual nature like property damage, any injuries my pet or pets cause on or off my property or to any person or other pets, or any complications in administering medications while under our care.

Kittytropolis Cat Sitting Specialists LLC accepts no liability for any breach of security or loss of or damage to the Owner's property if any other person has access to the property during the term of this agreement.

I give Kittytropolis Cat Sitting Specialists permission to seek medical care for my pet(s), including Emergency Care, and I am responsible for all costs, including time spent by Team Members to assess, transfer, and/or stay with my pet. I understand that every attempt will be made to contact me before a pet is taken to the veterinarian, but that I allow Team Kittytropolis Cat Sitting Specialists to use their discernment and discretion on when to seek medical care or give my pet additional care from Team Members, keeping the pet’s whole well-being and safety in mind.

I understand it is my responsibility to keep my pet(s) up to date on all vaccinations as required by law and at the direction of my Veterinarian. I understand the risks involved by not keeping my pet(s) up to date on vaccinations, including those required by law. I understand that not all contagious diseases are prevented by vaccinations or preventative measures. I understand that vaccination records are required in the event of any accident or incident involving my pet(s), and that I am required to submit such records to Kittytropolis Cat Sitting Specialists whenever requested.

It is my responsibility to provide my pet(s) with flea and tick prevention products, up-to-date microchips, identification tags, and secure collars/harnesses for my pet(s) at my discretion. I understand the risks involved in not providing these items for my pet(s). I understand that Kittytropolis Cat Sitting Specialists provide services to other clients and individuals, as well as their pets, who may be contagious or otherwise exposed to things like fleas, ticks, COVID-19 or other communicable diseases. I understand the inherent risk of exposure to communicable diseases by inviting other individuals into my home as well as the inevitable and necessary contact between people and pets.

I understand the Parish of Saint Tammany requires all dogs and cats to be licensed, wear rabies tags outside of my property, and that pets are not allowed to roam off my property. I understand the risks associated with allowing my pet(s) unsupervised access outside of my home. I understand that Kittytropolis Cat Sitting Specialists does not endorse such access, and I assume all risks, liability, and responsibility for requesting such access.

It is my responsibility to provide the following items for Kittytropolis Cat Sitting Specialists LLC:
enough food, medication, or litter to last the duration of my vacation, broom & dustpan or handheld vac, hand soap @ kitchen sink (WE WASH OUR HANDS A LOT), hand towels and/or paper towels, rags for cleaning pet accidents, bags for kitty litter waste & any other pet waste (we only use your outside garbage!), and my preferred pet accident cleaning soaps or sprays for carpet, floors, or furniture.

I understand that before doing a consultation, or other services with Kittytropolis Cat Sitting Specialists,I must activate my online account in the Precise Petcare software (PPC) https://kittytropoliscatsitters.petssl.com

I understand that I must keep my online account in the Precise Petcare software (PPC) updated with accurate information year-round. This includes, but is not limited to, emergency contacts, credit card information, house and pet instructions, medication and detailed instructions on how to administer the medication, and veterinarian info. If the information is not updated, Kittytropolis Cat Sitting Specialists is not held accountable, liable, or responsible for incorrect instructions and the actions that result in caring for your pet(s) or home.

I understand that that Kittytropolis Cat Sitting Specialists will give insulin injections as instructed by me, however, Kittytropolis Cat Sitting Specialists cannot guarantee the outcome of such injections. I understands that Kittytropolis Cat Sitting Specialists’s are not experienced in veterinary care. Kittytropolis Cat Sitting Specialists will care for diabetic pets provided their condition is stable and I provides Kittytropolis Cat Sitting Specialists with accurate dosing instructions. Kittytropolis Cat Sitting Specialists does not do glucose testing. I understand the risks involved, and agree that Kittytropolis Cat Sitting Specialists will not be held liable for harm or death to pet(s) resulting from insulin injections. I also holds Kittytropolis Cat Sitting Specialists harmless in the event the pet(s) suffers adverse reactions or shock while Kittytropolis Cat Sitting Specialists are away from my home.

I understand that a 25% non-refundable deposit is due at booking and the remaining balance is due 7 days before the service start date.

I understand that cancellations made at least 7 full days before the scheduled service start time will receive a credit to my KCSS client account, minus the 25% non-refundable deposit.

I agree to pay all invoices on or before the date listed on the submitted invoice, on or before the first day of service for that invoice. I understand that in the case of an outstanding invoice, service will cease until I pay the invoice in full and to remain current or ahead on all invoices. I understand that I need to have a credit or debit card on file with Kittytropolis Cat Sitting Specialists, and agree that outstanding invoices will be charged to the card on file on my behalf.

I understand that all cats will be visited no less than once every 24 hours but it is strongly recommended that they are visited every 12 hours.

It is my responsibility to provide Kittytropolis Cat Sitting Specialists LLC with preferably (2) means of access to my home, including a lockbox with (2) working keys and/or a lockbox with (1) working key and access code(s). I understand that door and garage codes are fallible, and that power failures or dead batteries will render my home inaccessible. It is my responsibility to provide working keys/access codes at or before my first service. I am responsible for the full cost of services that could not be completed by Team Members due to lack of access to my home at the time of service, and that such services will not be rescheduled. Key pick-up(s) and/or drop-off(s) requested outside of scheduled pet care services will incur a $27 service fee.

I understand that every reasonable attempt will be made to access my home during inclement weather, but that extreme weather, un-plowed roads and drives, and other extenuating circumstances may arise. In this case, every attempt will be made to contact me for requested backup. I understand that scheduled visits or lengths of visits may be modified or canceled in the case of extreme weather or other extenuating circumstances.
I understand that I am contracting for Professional Pet Care Services and the main focus of Team Members is the care and well-being of my pets. It is my responsibility to provide safe access to my home and pets.
I understand that if there is a question to the safety or well-being of my home, pets or myself, I agree to additional service visits at the rate of $30 per visit or $50 per hour, charged at the time of dispatch of the Team Member at the discretion of Kittytropolis Cat Sitting Specialists LLC. This could include, but is not limited to, times of extreme weather, pet illness or additional care, or unresponsive communications at the end of scheduled services. These additional services are offered in consideration of our high level of care and concern for all members of your family.
It’s important that we know your cats are healthy and eating and drinking normally while you’re gone. If you have shy cats that you know will hide from us, we recommend using a camera to view them when we aren’t there. We will look for cats when possible, but cats are extremely good at hiding and we cannot guarantee we will see them without the assistance of a camera. Even if you have cameras in your home, you may not have them pointed at ground level or at your cat’s food and water area. Our solution is to provide our KittyCam Rental Service at an additional fee. We will set up one of our cameras by connecting it to your Wi-Fi to view motion-activated clips of them at their feeding station when we're not there.

I understand that video surveillance outside or inside the home is welcomed, but recording devices are not permitted to record or view areas where there is a reasonable expectation of privacy, such as in bathrooms, bedrooms, etc.

I agree that Kittytropolis Cat Sitting Specialists will not be held liable for any free-roaming outdoor cats or other outdoor animals that I care for in the event of illness, injury, loss, or death. Kittytropolis Cat Sitting Specialists may agree to leave food and water for them but is not liable for keeping track of their health and safety daily.

I understand that Kittytropolis Cat Sitting Specialists will bring in packages delivered to me that weight under 30 lbs. I agree to make arrangements for large deliveries while I am out of town including heavy boxes, large boxes, and furniture deliveries. Kittytropolis Cat Sitting Specialists will not be held responsible for packages left outside if the sitter is unable to lift the box. If Kittytropolis Cat Sitting Specialists needs to call in an additional sitter for help lifting packages additional charges may apply.

I understand that Kittytropolis Cat Sitting Specialists will often take pictures of my pets while in their care to share with me via text or email. Kittytropolis Cat Sitting Specialists may share these photos with other interested clients via our website or social media pages We respect your privacy and no personally identifiable information besides the first name of the pet will ever be used. Pet photos provide proof of our professionalism and are used to build trust in our services, and therefore help us stay in business. Photos and videos by Kittytropolis Cat Sitting Specialists LLC and its employed pet sitters are the intellectual property of Kittytropolis Cat Sitting Specialists LLC and may be used exclusively for the purpose of marketing and business development to include but not limited to websites and/or social media. I hereby release and hold harmless Kittytropolis Cat Sitting Specialists LLC from any reasonable expectation of privacy or confidentiality associated with the images obtained. I hereby release Kittytropolis Cat Sitting Specialists LLC, and its agents all rights to exhibit this work in print and electronic form publicly or privately. I further acknowledge that my participation is accepted as voluntary as a client of Kittytropolis Cat Sitting Specialists LLC, and I will not receive financial compensation of any type associated with the taking of or publication of these photographs or participation in Kittytropolis Cat Sitting Specialists LLC marketing, educational, informational materials or other publications. I acknowledge and agree that publication of said photos confers no rights of ownership or royalties whatsoever. I hereby release Kittytropolis Cat Sitting Specialists LLC, its contractors, its employees, and any third parties involved in the creation or publication of marketing, educational, and informational materials, from liability for any claims by met or any third party in connection with their participation.

I understand that by approving my service requests, Kittytropolis Cat Sitting Specialists LLC sets a Team Member’s time aside specifically for my pet(s), and that other clients may be turned down due to my request. I understand that Kittytropolis Cat Sitting Specialists LLC expects my requested services to be honored, and that I will be respectful in any cancellations with the knowledge that a scheduled Team Member will be affected. I understand that pet care services canceled within 7 days of the start of services incurs the full value of that entire series of service, including visits canceled because I am coming home early, inclement weather, or personal sickness or injury. If I am worried about inclement weather, I will be courteous and cautious, and will either cancel in advance or incur the value of such services. I understand that services provided by Kittytropolis Cat Sitting Specialists LLC are offered on an at-will basis, and may be canceled at the discretion of either party. I agree that two-to-four weeks notice is appreciated and expected for canceled services to give Kittytropolis Cat Sitting Specialists LLC ample time to offer my reservation to another client.

I understand that the following holidays incur a holiday rate of an additional 50%: New Years Eve/Day, Mardi Gras Day, Easter Sunday, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve/Day. I understand that services are in higher demand around the holidays. I also understand Kittytropolis Cat Sitting Specialists LLC may require a 100% non-refundable deposit to reserve services due to holidays, higher demand, repeated cancellations, or at the discretion of Kittytropolis Cat Sitting Specialists LLC, due at the time of scheduling.

It is my responsibility after arriving home to contact Kittytropolis Cat Sitting Specialists LLC through PPC or text (985) 231-3287. If Kittytropolis Cat Sitting Specialists LLC does not hear from you by the arrival date, visits may be extended to ensure the safety and welfare of the pets. If the client is back home when we arrive you will be charged for the extra service.

It is my responsibility to be sure my Robot cleaners such as the "Roomba" are turned OFF during my vacation. I agree that Kittytropolis Cat Sitting Specialists LLC is not liable for damages to the home or the robot itself due to the robot dragging pet waste all over the house. (YES, it has happened to us, more than once.) If this happens, I will be charged a premium hourly rate for a cursory cleanup, which may not be as thorough as you will ultimately need.

I agree that all communication with Kittytropolis Cat Sitting Specialists sitters will be through my client account where Courtney and the Kittytropolis Cat Sitting Specialists Team Manager are privy to the conversation and a record can be kept. I understand that in some cases it may be necessary for me to speak with a sitter directly on the phone, however, Kittytropolis Cat Sitting Specialists ask that you respect our policies and do not contact our employees for any reason. I agree that bookings, communications, and questions will go through our software or be emailed to Courtney@kittytropolis.com. Furthermore, I understand any communications with Kittytropolis Cat Sitting Specialists LLC's employed sitters outside of our software is a violation of this contract, this includes social media.

I understand that any care arranged with another sitter outside of Kittytropolis Cat Sitting Specialists’s Software is not covered under the umbrella of Kittytropolis Cat Sitting Specialists's policies, bond, or liability insurance.

This waiver and release shall not apply to intentional, willful, wanton misconduct on behalf of Kittytropolis Cat Sitting Specialists or its Team Members.

RATES & FEES
All of our rates and fees can be accessed through our website https://www.kittytropolis.com

PAYMENT
Kittytropolis accepts payment via credit card through our secure merchant account. We also accept Venmo.

PAYMENT PROCESS
> New Clients: A 100% in full payment non-refundable, non-transferable (No Credits/Refunds) due within 48hrs at time of booking.
> Existing Clients: A 100% deposit due within 48 hrs at time of booking.

* HOLIDAY RESERVATIONS: During Holiday periods, (defined as Thanksgiving Week & Christmas/New Year's Weeks) 100% payment is due to secure your reservation; Holiday reservation cancellations are non-refundable and non-creditable.

CANCELLATIONS
• New Clients: No Credit/Refund
• Existing Clients:
> 7+ days before scheduled start = 100% Credit applied to your Client account for future service, within one year.
> 3-6 days before scheduled start = 50% Credit applied to your Client account for future service, within one year.
> 0-2 days before scheduled start = no refund

Late Departure/Early Return: There are no refunds or credits issued for late departures or early return home.


TIPS
If you were provided with excellent service, tipping 10% to 15% of the invoice is greatly appreciated, but not expected.

BUSINESS HOURS
Our regular business hours are Monday-Friday from 9am to 6pm. The office is closed on weekends and all Federal holidays. Calls are monitored for emergencies when the office is closed. All other calls are returned during regular business hours.

VISIT HOURS
1x/day visits are usually
between 1pm & 5pm

2x/day visits are between
8am-11am and 5-8pm


FRIENDS AND FAMILY ACCESS
We understand that your friends and families may want to check in on your pets while you are gone however our policy is to not provide “shared” pet care with outside services, friends, family etc.


REGISTRATION FEE
A one-time $15.00 fee will be charged for processing all new clients. This fee is non-refundable. This fee is due when you book your registration meeting. The fee will be charged 4 days prior to your scheduled registration meeting.

KEYS
We suggest that you leave a key in a secured lockbox for your Pet Sitter. You can purchase a lockbox from our office for the wholesale price of $15. You can also schedule our key pick-up and drop-off service, $12 each way, or allow entry with a garage code. We WILL NOT retain a copy of your house key. If you ask your sitter to keep a copy of your key, Kittytropolis, LLC will not be held responsible for it.

SECURED AREAS
It is the pet-owner's sole responsibility to pet-proof any areas of the home and/or property to which the pet has access. This includes thoroughly inspecting fences, gates, latches, doors and other devices meant to keep the pet inside or away from any 'forbidden' areas. The pet sitter does not assume and has no liability for any injuries the pet may sustain while in its own home.

SAFE ACCESS
It is the pet owner's responsibility to provide safe access to their home, sidewalks, steps and porch.

CLIMATE CLAUSE
Kittytropolis, LLC reserves the right to adjust the thermostat, close/open windows (as long as it remains safe and secure), turn air conditioner on/off or etc. in ALL of our client's homes if our sitters feel the climate is posing a health risk to your pet(s) in our care. Our staff will notify you if you are accessible.

RIGHT TO REFUSE SERVICE
Courtney's Pet Care, LLC reserves the right to refuse services to any Client, prospective client, or pet at any time for any reason.


Service Agreement
Services: Personalized Pet Care Rate: Please review your invoice for your fees.

Ground Rules: The term Kittytropolis as used herein refers to the officers, owners, principals, employees, and subcontractors of the company known as Kittytropolis Pet Sitting and its authorized representatives.

This contract authorizes Kittytropolis to enter the Client's home to provide the services listed herein and on the invoice, which shall be an addendum to this service contract.

Upon Client's request to provide services in the future via phone, email, or the on-line scheduling system, Client agrees that this contract shall be renewed or extended in its entirety, without further written authorization. The term of said renewal shall coincide with the service dates as listed on the most recent of an email confirmation or an invoice.

Kittytropolis agrees to provide the services stated herein in a reliable and trustworthy manner. In consideration of these services, and as an express condition thereof, the Client expressly waives and relinquishes any and all claims against Kittytropolis unless arising from deliberate negligence on the part of Kittytropolis or their representative(s).

If the pet(s) become ill and medical care is needed while under the care of Kittytropolis, Client authorizes Kittytropolis to transport the pet(s) to Client's veterinarian (or one who is available). Client authorizes Kittytropolis to approve any emergency treatment recommended by said veterinarian. Client authorizes Kittytropolis to take Client's pet(s) to an emergency clinic for animals when the Client's veterinarian is not immediately available. Client further agrees to promptly reimburse Kittytropolis for any expenses incurred for emergency treatment. Client releases Kittytropolis from any and all liabilities related to transportation, treatment and expense resulting from emergencies.

Client agrees to reimburse Kittytropolis for the purchase of materials necessary for the satisfactory performance of duties; and for any emergency expenses incurred resulting there from.

If Client is delayed in returning home, Client agrees to notify Kittytropolis of such delay, and agrees to pay Kittytropolis for any additional visits required until their return.

If Kittytropolis is locked out of Client's home, Client gives authorization for a locksmith service to perform any entry services as deemed necessary for Kittytropolis to access the home. Client further agrees to promptly reimburse Kittytropolis for any expenses incurred due to Kittytropolis being locked out due to Client error. Kittytropolis will make every attempt to gain access to Client's home before calling a locksmith.

Client agrees to not solicit any of Kittytropolis 's employees, pet sitters, contractors or representatives for pet care, exclusive of Kittytropolis.

Client agrees to inform Kittytropolis in the event that any of Kittytropolis's employees, pet sitters, contractors or representatives solicit business from the client.

The Client fully understands the contents of this contract and agrees to pre-pay the total fees for services stated herein, and to pay any additional charges due when the service has been completed. In the event any part of this contract shall be determined to be invalid it shall have no bearing on any other part of this contract.

Client Agreement
By providing my digital signature below, I confirm that I have read the Service Agreement and I understand and agree to the terms and conditions as stated in this consent/release form.
